While playing this game I was disappointed by the lack of selfishness I was able to employ against my fellow settlers. I recalled an instance from one of the very first diaries we read in Covered Wagon Women, where a young boy did not hesitate to devour his siblings’ share of food. We identified this as being an example of  basic human survival instincts. Unfortunately for me, I wasn’t able to utilize this technique as I was forced to SHARE with my companions, and I couldn’t even figure out how to leave behind poor little George Donner Jr!! The historical information wasn’t impressive, and my reluctance to give my credit card number killed me in the end.
